P-Square-650x400
It is no longer news that the singing duo, Peter and Paul Okoye of the P-Square fame are now apart

The two brothers have officially ceased from operating under the umbrella of the P Square family.
The news of their breakup became evident last weekend when Peter unveiled a new stage name and management.
Many fans took his decision with a pinch of salt until his other brother, Paul dropped a new single entitled ‘Call Heaven.’
This is the first time a member of the group would be publicly releasing a song alone.
Paul, in the emotion-laden single attributed the reason for their brotherly war to their parents’ absence.
Paul sang thus:
“Make somebody please go heaven
Make i tell my mama say e don happen
Eh Eh
Or Papa, Na that level…eh ya

Jude Okoye, the elder brother of the Nigerian singing duo, P-Square, has clarified that he’s no longer the manager of the group.
DAILY POST recalls that Peter Okoye of the P-square fame had sometime in February, said he was no longer interested in having their elder brother, Jude, as manager of the P-square brand.
Peter had earlier posted, “My loyalty for P-square and the fans still remains 100% but a manager is been employed by the artiste and not the other way round. #truthBeTold,” Peter noted.
“Please, who so ever makes any transaction with North Side Entertainment or Jude Okoye on P-square’s behalf does so at their on risk. #warning,” he said.
Reacting, however, on his Instagram page @judeengees, Jude said he needed some peace.
“Please, I stopped being P-square’s management for over a month now (for the 4th time).
“Let me be at peace, thank you,” Jude wrote...........,

READ!! Youths Marriage characteristics and types of marriage.

Marriage: Characteristics and Types of Marriage

Meaning and Types:

Like family, marriage is another important social institution. Marriage and family are two aspects of the same social reality i.e. the bio-psychic and social instincts of man. Marriage is one of the most ancient, important, universal and indispensable social institution which has been in existence since the inception of human civilization.
As an institution marriage is designed to satisfy the biological needs especially the sexual needs of the individual in a legal, customary, culturally defined and socially approved man Unilateral descent rule Cognative non-unlineal
It also admits men and women to family life and fixes certain rights and duties in respect of children born of their union. As a stable social institution it binds two opposite sexes and allows them to live as husband and wife. It also confers on them social legitimation to have sexual relations and have children.
The institutionalized form of sex relations is called marriage. It is closely associated with the institution of family and women to family.
But the term marriage or vivaha is a combination of two terms i.e. ‘Vi’ and ‘Vaha’ which means the ceremony of carrying away the bride to the house of bridegroom. In some society it is considered as a religious sacrament whereas in other society it is a social contract.

Definition of Marriage:

Different scholars and sociologist have tried to define it. They differ from each other.
(1) According to Encyclopedia Britannica, “Marriage is a physical, legal and moral union between man and woman in complete community life for the establishment of a family.”
(2) According to Malinowski, “Marriage is a contract for the production and maintenance of children.”
(3) Edward Westermark in his famous book ‘History of human marriage’ defined, “Marriage is a relation of one or more men to one or more women which is recognized by customs or law and involves certain rights and duties both in case of parties entering into the union and in the case of children born of it.”
(4) According to H.M. Johnson, “Marriage is a stable relationship in which a man and a woman are socially permitted without loss of standing in community to have children.”
(5) According to Lowie, “Marriage is a relatively permanent bond between permissible mates.”
(6) According to Horton and Hunt, “Marriage is the approved social pattern whereby two or more persons establish a family.”
(7) According to Hoebel, “The complexes of social norms that define and Control the relations of a mated pair to each other their kinsmen, their offspring and their society at large.”
Thus from the above analysis it is concluded that marriage is both a biological, psychological, cultural and social affair. Marriage is a special type of relationship between permissible mates involving certain rights and obligations. That is why Lundberg is right when he opines that “Marriage consists of the rules and regulations which define the rights, duties and privileges of husband and wife with respect to each other.”

READ!!! Four Tips To Know About Nollywood Actress Mercy Johnson

4 Amazing Things

There was a time she stopped schooling to hawk sachet water (pure water) and plantain.
Also, she was once a housemaid and did menial jobs to survive. But all that are history now. Below are four amazing things you should know about this bunch of talent fondly called Mercy Johnson.
1. Being a native of Kogi State, Mercy’s middle name is Ozioma, meaning a girl with good luck. She believes that the name is playing a vital role in the transition of her life from grass to grace, particularly how she miraculously got her first movie role, which eventually shot her to limelight.
2. Mercy didn’t grow up to see her parents live together. In fact, she left her mother at age two to stay with her father, who was being transferred on regular basis for official reasons. The actress acknowledges that life as a barracks girl built her to be tough.

3. One of the strengths of Mercy as an actress is her ability to play crying and emotional roles. Meanwhile, sometimes when she cries in movies, it wasn’t the script that makes her cry, but when she looks back to her humble beginning and the height she has attained now.
4. In early 2010, Mercy got to be among the first Nollywood stars to be endorsed by telecommunication giant, Globacom. She had already secured a four-year N50m deal. But two days to signing the contract, she was enmeshed in a theft scandal, forcing the company to cancel the deal.
